We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dairy Farmer / Herdsman to manage and care for our dairy herd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy farming, animal husbandry, and milking processes. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of the herd, overseeing daily milking operations, and ensuring that all aspects of dairy production are handled with care and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the milking process, ensuring proper techniques are followed and equipment is maintained.

• Monitor the health of the herd, including administering medications and vaccinations as needed.

• Ensure proper feeding, nutrition, and care routines to maximize milk production.

• Maintain accurate records of milking schedules, animal health, and production data.

• Assist in breeding and reproduction programs to ensure herd sustainability.

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the barn, milking equipment, and related areas.

• Work closely with the farm manager to implement efficient herd management strategies.

• Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines regarding animal welfare and dairy production.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in dairy farming or animal husbandry.

• Strong knowledge of milking techniques, herd management, and dairy farm operations.

• Ability to monitor animal health and administer care when necessary.

• Experience with dairy farm equipment and maintaining it in good working condition.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including long hours and working in varying weather conditions.
